Alan Pears / FCA

Alan Pears – is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA), having qualified with the Institute in 1972 and established his firm back in 1974 when he commenced on his own.

Alan’s extensive experience and knowledge enables him to provide sound business advice to small and medium business clients. Alan’s area of work is mainly in taxation, audit, superannuation and business services. Alan also has extensive experience in valuing businesses and has had experience in litigation in the Family Court on behalf of business clients.

In addition to Alan’s commitment to his work and his practice he is also actively involved in the Kuring-Gai Motor Yacht Club being a Past Commodore and has been actively involved in the affairs of the ICAA.

 

Anthony Ciarroni / BBus  CA

Anthony Ciarroni – is a Member of the ICAA. He completed a Bachelor of Business Degree in 1991 and commenced his career in a City firm before joining Alan Pears in July 1992.

Anthony specialises in business services, he provides advice in accounting, taxation and superannuation and has had considerable experience in these areas.

Anthony consults to our small to medium enterprise clients providing assistance with management consulting, tax matters, structuring advice and succession and retirement planning.

In addition he is responsible for the firm’s computer systems and is able to offer advice to clients on a wide range of computer issues including purchase and installation of hardware and accounting software and is also able to provide training in this field.

Leo Ciarroni / BCom  CA

Leo Ciarroni – commenced his professional career in 1992, working with Young Barnsdall & Co (now known as Pitcher Partners) under their cadetship program and completed his Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 1995. He then joined Hill Rogers in 1997 during which time he was admitted as a Member of the ICAA. He was appointed Manager of one of Hill Rogers Business Services Divisions and was involved in advising and assisting small to medium enterprises (SME) with their general accounting and taxation issues.

In July 2002 Leo joined Pears Chartered Accountants bringing with him considerable knowledge gained at these two medium tier firms. Leo has considerable experience in advising SME, providing them with strategic planning, taxation and general business services advice. He has experience in taxation advising and planning, business planning and management, budgeting, cashflow projections and reporting, preparation of annual financial accounts, superannuation fund advising and auditing.

Leo also has extensive experience in accounting software systems and is an accredited MYOB Certified Consultant.

Staff

We have experienced and loyal staff who are committed to providing a friendly and efficient service to our clients. The majority of our staff have been employed for more than five (5) years and being a small firm we pride ourselves on our personal approach and high quality service.

We employ experienced support staff and qualified accountants. We also employ accounting students and provide them with support and training during their employment with our firm.
